Registration Dates and Information

Youth Cross Country Registration opens on June 16, 2025. Early Bird pricing is available until June 30, 2025. Registration closes on July 31, 2025.

2025 Youth Cross Country

Moorpark Striders is excited to join the Valley Youth Conference XC of Southern California. Youth cross country running is a dynamic and engaging sport that introduces young athletes to the joys of running in natural environments. Cross country races unfold over varied outdoor terrains such as grassy fields, wooded paths and sometimes hills. Our season begins in August. Practices will be held 2-4 days per week at various parks and trails in Moorpark. Meets are held on Saturdays with the exception of Mt. SAC which will be held on a Sunday. Please attend our Parent Information Night on July 30th at 5:30 pm at Mesa Verde Middle School.

Early Bird Registration:
June 16 - June 30
Regular Registration:
July 1 - July 31

Age groups and race distances are as follows:
Sub-Gremlin - 5/6 years old - 2k
Gremlin - 7/8 years old - 2k
Bantam - 9/10 years old - 3k
Junior - 11/12 years old - 3k
Youth - 13/14 years old - 4k
Intermediate - 15-18 years old - 4k
