Volunteers Needed!

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! PLEASE SIGN UP FOR A VOLUNTEER SPOT IN ORDER TO ENSURE THAT WE CAN HAVE A 2023 MOORPARK STRIDERS SEASON.

We are in need of several major volunteer leaders as we have lost our Head Coach and Vice President. Additionally, Laura Layton will be stepping down after this year so we are in need of a new President/Director. If you are interested in stepping into a volunteer leadership role, please reach out to let us know or scroll down to the open positions at the bottom of this page to express interest. The Moorpark Striders Track Program is run purely by volunteers so if no one steps into this role, the program will not continue.

Volunteer Shift Sign Ups

Moorpark Striders is a volunteer organization and rely solely on volunteers to run this club for our children. You are required to sign up for 3 shifts this year. Please note: It is mandatory for you to do your 3 shifts this year so we have enough help to run the meets. We can't run them without the volunteers. The sign ups are now available on our website under "Volunteer Requirements and Sign-Ups" (see below). We appreciate your dedication to our track athletes as we can't run our meets without you!

Remember - you can have a teen/friend/etc do your required shift! Please just make sure you list the name of the child signed up with Striders so we know who to credit the volunteer time with!

2023 Season Moorpark Striders Youth Track

Vice President The Vice President helps to lighten the load for the President and helps with all areas of overseeing the program.

President/Director This is the main leader that attends meetings, organizes meets, and overall leads the entire program.

Head Coach This will be the coach that helps to lead the other coaches and is the

Board Member This role will attend board meetings and have a direct role in decision making and planning for the club. This will satisfy your volunteer requirement.

Records/Technology Assistance This volunteer will print ribbon and meet labels and manage records. This is done on a weekly basis during the season. Some technology experience needed. This will satisfy your volunteer requirements.

Volunteer Coordinator This role oversees and organizes the volunteers for our meets. You need to be available for each home meet to direct and assist the volunteers.
